Family Tradition
Family Tradition isn't just the name of the boat. Captain John C. Emery is a second generation fishing pioneer. Light tackle pioneers Captains John B. Emery and Ralph Delph began it when photos were black and white. The next generation continues the tradition.
Miami
Miami offers some of the most productive sailfish and swordfish fishing grounds anywhere in the world. Sailfish season begins to build in early November and eventually reaches a peak through February running all the way to the end of May. During these months sailfish are often caught in double digit numbers using a variety of live bait and kite fishing techniques. Dolphin, king mackerel, and wahoo are often caught in the same trip.
In the last few years we have developed an amazing swordfish fishery targeting fish both during the daytime and at night all year round. In the late spring early summer our Dolphin season gets into full swing with lots of big fish and plenty of schoolies. This type of deep sea fishing is witnessed by only a small number of fisherman each year due to the limited number of light tackle offshore boats available. Put this on your calendar for the next season. This is sure to be one of the most exciting deep sea fishing experiences you will have.
